Flickr!

Well, we've finally got our Flickr account up and running. Head here to keep a further track on out latest non-commercial work. It's our window on the world - a daily bookmark for professional and amateur photographers alike. We may even put the odd piece of design work up there too, just to keep people on their toes.

These initial shots were taken of Beetham West Tower, the tallest building in Liverpool. It represents everything about the city at the moment, really. Tall, slick, elegant and expensive. There are plenty of apartments available if you fancy one or, if you'd like to admire the view for a slightly lower price then the amazing Panoramic Restaurant is the place to go.

Diesel Wall - Dupe Submission

Well, here it is. Or part of it anyway. Deadline for Manchester is Sunday ... toying with the idea of submitting a second idea. Went with a very bold, graphic approach in the end. Funnily enough, this looks a lot like the work I was doing when I was at art college many years ago ... strange.

The winner has been picked for Zurich. Shame I don't live out there really, because that space was a far more interesting shape. Not to worry though.

Viral Marketing

Fantastic campaign done in the States by New York based agency Amalgamated not so long ago. Watch the video if you get a chance. It goes to prove that, if you're willing to take a few risks and try something a little different, then the rewards for can be astounding. Furthermore, the relative cost of this type of project is tiny when compared to traditional marketing methods. Now, rather than just throw money at local newspapers, radio and television there are far cheaper ways to get your company/product noticed.

We at Dupe keep a very close eye on projects like this. The boundaries for advertising and marketing have shifted considerably in recent years and we want to help local businesses in getting themselves noticed in an increasingly saturated market.

A constant source of inspiration (and occasional plagiarism), FFFFOUND! is the internet as it should be - a never ending stream of visual genius.
